Every AI Dungeon subscriber is granted a bundle of Credits each month of their membership, but all players can buy additional Credits at any time.
Credits can be spent in AI Dungeon Adventures creating new, one-of-a-kind, AI-generated images to compliment stories. Legend and Mythic members can also use Credits on larger GPT-4 Turbo context.
Credits for Images
Your membership tier determines how many Credits each image costs across different models:

Changing the image settings to achieve more hyper-realistic AI-generated art might require several Credits, as these options can get particularly expensive.
The Pixel Art images do NOT require Credits, as these are pre-generated and stored on the server. Selecting Pixel Art and using See mode will use keywords to pull an image from the cache and add it to your Adventure.
Credits for Context
Legend and Mythic players can spend 1 Credit per action for every 250 tokens of GPT-4 Turbo context up to 128k tokens. Mythic includes unlimited actions on GPT-4 Turbo with 1k tokens as part of the subscription and will only be charged Credits for context used beyond 1k.
128k context is absolutely absurd—that’s about 160-200 pages of text, and filling up this entire context will cost over 500 Credits every turn.
