What are the different AI models in AI Dungeon?

AI Dungeon relies on AI language models to drive game experiences. We also offer several AI image models to generate pictures during gameplay. Each of these models has been developed independently and has different characteristics, so you can choose the one that best fits your play style.

AI Text Models

There are multiple text models offered in AI Dungeon. They are available to different tiers at various context lengths:

*Free players receive 20 premium Mixtral actions at 2k context that re-up daily. You always have unlimited actions with other free models.

**Some models are capable of bigger context lengths, and you can spend credits for extra context. See our Members page for more details →

AI Image Models

We also have several AI image models you can use to generate unique pictures of your Adventures during gameplay. Your membership tier determines how many Credits each image costs across different models:
