Qualifications

Our moderators are our front line of defense in maintaining the safety of our Discord community. They take actions such as warning, muting, and even banning players. They also help make sure discussion stays on topic for each channel, and act as a liaison between the community and the Latitude Team.

As such, moderators are expected to conduct themselves professionally. They set the tone for community interactions.

Previous experience with moderation is helpful but not required.

Extensive knowledge of AI Dungeon is also helpful, but not required.

Moderators must be 18 years or older.

How to Apply

To begin the process, please email community@latitude.io and include the following information:

• Name and pronouns we can call you by
• Email address used with AI Dungeon
• Discord handle
• Reddit username
• Answers to the following two questions:
• Why you want to be on the moderation staff?
• What’s one suggestion for improving our Discord server and community?

Once we’ve received your application, a member of our Community Team will reach out to you on Discord to continue the process. We will ask a series of questions, and you’ll be invited to do either a text or audio interview. The text interview option would take place on Discord where our Community Team and Senior Moderators will ask you questions asynchronously over the course of a few days. Or you can opt for an audio call with a member of our Community Team.

If accepted, you’ll be granted a Trial Moderator role, where we can see you in action. If the team is comfortable with your understanding and application of the server rules, you’ll be added as a Moderator on the team.

Responsibilities

Our helpers are knowledgeable players in the community. Many of them have been playing for as long as AI Dungeon has been around. Some of them are AI aficionados, and they’re able to describe the nuances of constructing a great AI-driven Adventure.

Helpers are also knowledgeable about the creation process on AI Dungeon. They may know a bit about some of the pesky bugs and have workarounds to suggest to players as well. They have a great ability and interest in helping all players increase their skills and knowledge in AI Dungeon.

Helpers don’t have to know everything, but they should be excited to continue learning about AI Dungeon.

About Creators

Our creator community builds Scenarios on AI Dungeon, and they are a critical part of our ecosystem and community. With the Creator Discord roles, we want to provide greater visibility to our creators, as well as provide them inside access to the Latitude Team.

There are 3 Creator roles (criteria to qualify down below):

• Top Creator
• Creator
• Emerging Creator

Earning the Creator Role

Creators who qualify will be notified via in-game notification that they are eligible for the role. Click on the notification to fill out a Google Form, which will automatically apply the role to your Discord account. If you need any help, please email support@aidungeon.com.

We evaluate Creator status every 3 months at the beginning of every quarter. The Creator role is not permanent and must be maintained.

Top Creator

• 250,000 actions in the previous quarter
• Account must be 3+ months old
• Must publish at least 3 new Scenarios in the previous quarter

Creator

• 50,000 actions in the previous quarter
• Account must be 3+ months old
• Must publish at least 2 new Scenarios in the previous quarter

Emerging Creator

• 25,000 actions in the previous quarter
• Account must be less than 6 months old
• Must publish at least 2 new Scenarios in the previous quarter
