AI Dungeon System Support & Technical Requirements

Our players use AI Dungeon on numerous combinations of operating systems, devices, and browsers and customize these devices with third-party keyboards, browser plugins, and more. Our goal is to support as many players as possible, and all these variables can make that a challenge.

We use a tiered support model to effectively prioritize our development team’s limited time. This tiered approach ensures that most of our time is spent supporting devices used by the greatest number of players.

Support Tiers

We’ve created three support tiers to help communicate to players how their devices will receive support. These tiers are assigned to different configurations based on how frequently our players use them. High-use configurations (such as Chrome on Windows) receive Tier 1 support. Less used configurations (such as Opera running on an Android device that is 3 OS versions behind the current release) will receive Tier 3 support.

Tier 1
Highest level of support. Tested regularly by the Latitude team as part of our development process. All bugs (including P3’s) are given priority.
Tier 2
Mid-level support. We rely on players to report bugs for these configurations. P1 and P2 bugs are prioritized lower than Tier 1 configurations. Some P3s may not be prioritized.
Tier 3
Limited support. We rely on players to report bugs. We prioritize P1 bugs for more common configurations. Players may encounter more bugs and UI issues on these device configurations.
🪲
What are P1, P2, and P3 bugs? This nomenclature is commonly used by development teams to triage bugs by severity. The P stands for “Priority”. P1 bugs are ones that prevent the use of critical functions of AI Dungeon. P2 are serious bugs; they may limit core functionality, but there may be a workaround. P3 bugs are ones that impact only a few players, don’t prevent normal use of AI Dungeon, or are simply visual issues.

Desktop and Mobile Browsers

Below are the support tiers for the most common browsers used on AI Dungeon. The support tiers are for the latest version of the browser and OS configuration listed. Older browser versions will not receive the same level of support as current versions.
