How do I report a bug?

Bugs are most often reported in the bugs-feature-request channel on Discord.

If you’ve found a bug or technical issue in AI Dungeon, first search through posts on Discord for one(s) similar and add a comment to those if they exist.

If there aren’t any posts matching your problem, please follow these instructions:

1. Always try to reproduce the bug again across different platforms and devices. It would be a huge help to the team if you tried replicating the bug in separate play sessions and different stories as well.
2. Next, take screen recordings as often as possible. These are very helpful to our developers as they easily show the issue and the exact steps taken to trigger it.
3. Then, write up a detailed report. Include those screen recordings and lots of specific information that we can use to reproduce the bug ourselves. Also include information about the devices and/or platforms that are experiencing the issue. When applicable, please attach a link to the story you are testing in. This will help our testing be consistent with yours.
4. Lastly, tag your report on Discord with all relevant labels. The team will then capture it and, as soon as they can reproduce it, will begin working on a fix!

If your bug is personal, such as including sensitive account details, Mature/Unrated content, or otherwise cannot be posted to the Discord for any reason, please instead reach out to our email: support@aidungeon.com
