Voyage Community Guidelines

The purpose of these guidelines is to build a safe, fun space in which we can all find, create, and enjoy AI experiences within Latitude products. Every creator is expected to set an appropriate content rating for their published world based on the content ratings below.

Voyage ratings are based on the overall tone and themes of a world rather than the presence of any single concept. A world is rated by the experience it creates as a whole, not by isolated moments. The exception is Unpublishable content, which is never permitted regardless of how central or incidental it is to the world.

We reserve the right to update these Community Guidelines at any time, with or without notice, in line with our efforts to protect the integrity of our community experience. Any disputes or gray areas will be handled at the moderators' discretion to align with the safety expectations of the broader player community, and any examples used in these guidelines are for illustrative purposes only and not intended as an exhaustive list of what is or is not allowed. These guidelines apply to everything publicly posted on the platform, this includes: Worlds, Mods, Cover images, Comments, Usernames and Bios. Usernames and Bios must never exceed a Teen rating nor include any mention of higher ratings, while Comments mustn't exceed the rating of the World or Mod they are posted on. Direct or indirect mentions of a higher rating or higher-rated content in a World or Mod will automatically cause it to be that rating. If a Mod is rated differently than the World it's linked to, the World's overall rating is determined by whichever is higher.”

Private and Unlisted Worlds and Mods made for personal use are not moderated and therefore not subjected to these guidelines. Instead, our Walls Approach applies, preventing any content suggesting, promoting, or glorifying the sexual exploitation of children.

Content Ratings

Content ratings do not limit what can happen in an Save — If you wish to restrict what kind of content can be generated in your Save, please refer to our AI Safety Settings.

Everyone (E)

Content suitable for all ages, comparable with: ESRB E10+, MPAA PG or PEGI 7+

Everyone worlds keep a light, welcoming tone where conflict stays low-stakes and themes are straightforward. These worlds are suitable for pre-teens and rely on imagination and adventure rather than realistic danger or mature subject matter.

Everyone worlds typically feature concepts such as:

Fantasy or cartoon-style violence that doesn’t depict realistic injury or consequences. Fighting monsters, defending others, or facing peril is welcome here, but the violence should have a clear reason behind it, whether heroic or in good fun, rather than existing for its own sake. Death and danger can appear as long as they stay bloodless and low-stakes, such as defeating a monster or a death treated softly rather than dwelt upon.
Friendly competition and conflict where the stakes stay low.
Mild suspense, mystery, and a touch of the scary, such as a mystery to solve or a mildly frightening creature to escape, without graphic content or genuine dread.
Simple courtship, innocent crushes, friendship, and brief friendly contact, kept light rather than serious.
Mild language with no profanity, light-hearted banter, and playful teasing.
Simple moral dilemmas with a clear right and wrong, fun fantasy settings, and characters with clear, understandable motivations.

Teen (T)

Content suitable for readers aged 13 and above, comparable with: ESRB T, MPAA PG-13 or PEGI 12+

Teen worlds introduce more complex social dynamics, real stakes, and nuanced characters while keeping an overall clear moral framework. The tone can be dramatic or suspenseful but stays accessible to early teens and avoids deep psychological darkness or sexual focus.

Teen worlds typically feature concepts such as:

Violence where death is possible and injury is depicted, but without gore or excessive detail, alongside intense peril where survival or a positive resolution remains possible.
First romance and dating, flirting and attraction without suggestive content, and relationship conflicts with low emotional stakes.
Occasional strong language (non-sexual variants) and realistic, sometimes confrontational dialogue.
Social drama with relatable stakes, characters with nuanced motivations, ethical questions raised by supernatural abilities, and references to identity or personal struggles without extensive psychological depth.

Mature (M)

Content suitable for readers aged 17 and above. Comparable with: ESRB M, MPAA R or PEGI 18+

Mature worlds explore dark themes with purpose, serious consequences, and significant moral ambiguity. These worlds require adult judgment and emotional maturity to process, and may carry strong romantic or suggestive tension, but they stop short of explicit sexual content, which is Unpublishable on Voyage.

Mature worlds typically feature concepts such as:

Detailed action with serious blood, death, and injury where the violence serves the story rather than existing for its own sake, without glamorizing or lingering on gore. High-stakes danger and an emphasis on mortality and lethal consequences.
Suggestive content and romantic tension that implies potential sexual activity, complex adult relationship dynamics, betrayal and infidelity, and “bedroom adjacent” scenes where sexual activity is implied but not described.
Non-traditional relationship structures such as polyamory or open relationships, and frameworks where one character has potential romantic access to multiple others.
Frequent strong language, including some sexual variants of cursing.
Dark themes with meaningful exploration, significant moral ambiguity, detailed exploration of trauma, addiction, or mental health, powers involving deep psychological manipulation, and body horror without explicit description.

Image Content

When you upload a custom cover image, our image rating system reviews it and assigns it a content rating (Everyone, Teen, Mature) using the same scale as the rest of these Community Guidelines. Two things determine that rating: the visual content it depicts and any text found inside the image. Your image's final rating is the most restrictive rating triggered by either one, and some content will cause the image to be marked Unpublishable, meaning it can't be used on published content.

Visual Content

Regardless of any text, the visual content of your image affects its rating. Our system checks your image for the following general categories of content:

Nudity and sexual content - nudity, sexual activity, sexualized poses or behavior, sexual displays, sex toys, and suggestive content.
Revealing clothing - tight-fitting clothing, undergarments, swimwear, and shirtless figures.
Violence and gore - fighting, blood, injuries, graphic gore, corpses, and disturbing body imagery.
Weapons - guns, knives, and other weapons.
Drugs, alcohol, and smoking - alcohol, smoking, pills, marijuana, and injectable drugs.
Self-harm - self-harm imagery, such as hanging or nooses.
Hate and extremist symbols - imagery associated with hate groups or extremist ideologies.
Obscene gestures.
Animal abuse and animal genitalia.

Most flagged content works on a sliding scale: the clearer, more prominent, or more explicit it is, the higher the rating it earns, and your image is always assigned the highest rating that any single element reaches. Ratings are also based on what an image appears to depict or hints at, not only what it literally shows. Content that is framed, cropped, obscured, or styled to imply higher-rated material can be rated as though that material were present.

Visual Content That Maxes Out at Teen

If an image contains only the content below, the rating for it maxes out at Teen, no matter how prominent that content is. Other content detected in the same image can still push the final rating higher:

Visual Content That Maxes Out at Mature

If an image contains only the content below, the rating for it maxes out at Mature, no matter how prominent that content is. Other content detected in the same image can still push the final rating higher:

Visual Content That Starts at Teen and can Raise the Rating

Everything below starts at Teen when it is mild or ambiguous and climbs to Mature as it becomes clearer, more explicit, or more graphic. Pushed far enough, some of this content crosses into imagery that is never allowed on a cover image at all - see Custom Cover Images under the Unpublishable section:

Suggestive and sexual content - suggestive posing or framing, tight-fitting clothing, undergarments, and swimwear. Visible undergarments reach Mature almost immediately, and sexual content escalates quickly.
Violence and gore - fighting, blood, and injuries start low; heavier gore and corpses push ratings to the higher end. Animal cruelty is treated the same way.

Visual Content That Does Not Raise the Rating

On their own, the following content is detected but is ignored and won't raise your image above Everyone. Other content in the same image can still set a higher rating:

Real guns or knives simply shown (held, in hand, or at rest)
Clearly cartoonish or stylized corpses

Restricted Words in Images

If your image contains text (captions, watermarks, speech bubbles, logos, and so on), we scan that text for restricted words. When a restricted word is found, the image is assigned a rating based on the severity of that word, and your image's final rating can never be lower than that.

Explicit sexual terminology - Anatomical terms, sexual acts, sexual slang, and pornographic terminology.
Racial and ethnic slurs - Slurs and derogatory terms targeting racial, ethnic, or national groups.
Profanity and vulgar language - Strong profanity, crude insults, and vulgar slang.
Pornographic references - Names of pornographic websites, genres, or industry-specific terminology.
Hate group references - Terms associated with hate groups, extremist ideologies, or hate symbols.
Fetish and paraphilia terminology - Terms for specific sexual fetishes, paraphilias, or extreme sexual practices.
Drug-related terms - Specific drug names
Self-harm references - Terms directly referencing suicide or self-harm methods

Unpublishable Content

Do not publish or post any content which depicts, encourages, promotes, alludes to, or otherwise contains any of the themes listed below.

Spam, Plagiarism, and Content Manipulation — Identical or near-identical content being repeatedly published, Posting / Publishing another user’s content that is not your own, attempts to manipulate content or votes, or impersonation of individuals or organizations on or off of Latitude’s platforms — especially in regard to individuals or organizations affiliated with Latitude, Inc. and/or with the intent of deceiving or causing harm to anyone.
Professional Advice — Content professing the ability to provide, professional, financial, legal, medical, or mental health advice / therapy. Voyage has NOT been calibrated or trained as a tool capable of this and if you choose to leverage text returned by the AI within the Voyage experience for any of these purposes, you do so at your own risk. Latitude, Inc. cannot be held responsible for actions taken in line with recommendations provided by the AI. You are encouraged to seek the counsel / advice of actual industry professionals — Voyage is a game experience.
External links — If you wish to include an external link anywhere, you must get approval by emailing it to support@aidungeon.com first.
Hateful Content — Hate speech or discrimination against other people based on attributes such as their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities (Fantastical depictions of fictional discrimination, like Dwarves loathing Elves, are exempt).
Glorifying real-world violence or tragedies — Recent and ongoing events can be hot topic issues, please use discretion when creating scenarios based on these events. Exploring Alt-History is acceptable as long as it doesn’t promote any content that could be considered to be hateful content.
Glorifying or promoting self harm or suicide — If you are experiencing distress and are considering self harm, help is available by texting or calling the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 (US only, international numbers can be found here).
Harmful content about real people, other users or public personas — Inciting or promoting violence or abuse against others, unauthorized sharing of personal information (also known as “doxxing”), sexualizing or sexual harassment, or threatening behavior, including threatening another’s life, safety, reputation, livelihood, or well-being.
Extreme violence and gore — Intense combat detail and graphic violence where gore, injury, and suffering are the focus rather than incidental, detailed torture or mutilation, and brutal conflict where the graphic nature is central to the experience.
Extreme disturbing content — Content designed primarily to disturb or provoke through shock, disgust, or severe psychological discomfort, and the systematic removal of character agency as a central theme.
Explicit sexual content — Sexual content as a primary focus, pornographic content, explicit romantic or sexual encounters, content focused on sexual fetishes, kinks, BDSM, NTR, MILF/DILF, and similar, and any use of “NSFW” terminology or sexually provocative imagery.
Bestiality — Sexual relations with or attraction towards below human intelligence, non-consenting or entirely animal bodied species (A centaur would be considered to have human level intelligence and only a partial animal body, while a horse or Pokémon would not).
Necrophilia — Sexual intercourse with or attraction towards corpses or below human intelligence, non-consenting, or rotting undead (A Vampire would be considered to have human intelligence and a non-rotting body, while a Zombie would not).
Sexual content involving minors — Any exploitation or sexualization of real or fictional minors, including high schoolers and established underage characters from media, or sexual content implying characters are underage despite disclaimers ("All characters are 18+" when context implies otherwise. For example in a high school setting).
Incest — Sexual interactions between family members or close relatives, including romantic or sexual relationships, clear flirtatious behavior, sexualized descriptions of family members or intimate physical contact (Step-family relations are treated the same as blood relations).
Non-consensual sexual content and sexual violence — The capability to consent needs to be clearly demonstrated within the context of the story and cannot be assumed. If a character does not have control or is coerced into a sexual situation, it will be considered a non-consensual sexual act. Examples of non-consensual sexual acts include:

Rape, sexual assault, sex slavery or trafficking.
Sexual situations tied to violence, abduction, intoxication, mind control, hypnosis, or other magical manipulation (such as spells, potions, etc.).
Situations where a character's survival depends on performing sexual acts, or where sexual offers are made under extreme duress.
Abuse of power, such as a boss coercing an employee, or law enforcement exchanging leniency for sexual favors.

Disclaimers of any kind do not absolve content from being Unpublishable if it violates any of the Unpublishable restrictions above.

Custom Cover Images

While the above guidelines apply to images, there are some additional guidelines specific to them. Do not upload images that include the following content:

Pornographic Imagery and Sexual Content — Any explicit depiction of sexual acts, fetishes, nudity, use of sex toys or other objects in a sexual context, animal genitalia, overly suggestive poses and outfits, other imagery intended to be provocative or for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification, or where text, logos, watermarks, or graphic elements appear to be deliberately positioned to cover or obscure sexually suggestive areas of a character's body.
Violence and Shock Content — Images depicting extreme violence, cruelty, or harm to individuals or animals. Graphically violent or gory content, including heavy gore, corpses, or emaciated bodies, that may be disturbing or shocking. Imagery designed to provoke discomfort or distress through its violent nature.
Self-Harm and Suicide Imagery - Images that depict, glorify, or promote self-harm or suicide, including depictions such as hanging or nooses.
Hate and Extremist Symbols - Hate symbols or imagery associated with hate groups or extremist ideologies (for example, Nazi, KKK, terrorist, or Confederate symbols).
Vulgar and Crude Content — Use of vulgar, offensive, or crude language in images or imagery containing obscene gestures or actions.
Misleading Imagery (Clickbait) — Images designed to mislead players into believing the content is something other than what it actually is or any form of deceptive imagery that tricks users into engaging with content.
Underage Characters in Suggestive Worlds — Images depicting characters who appear to be minors (under 18 years old) will be treated as such and may not appear on custom cover images for sexually suggestive Worlds and Mods.

Voyage Multiplayer Guidelines

These Multiplayer Guidelines are intended to foster a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where players can collaborate, compete, roleplay, and socialize together.

Every player contributes to the Voyage community. We ask everyone to treat others with respect, play fairly, and help create an experience where everyone can enjoy the game.

These guidelines are not intended to be a complete list of every prohibited behavior. They provide general expectations and representative examples. We reserve the right to take action against behavior that undermines the safety, integrity, or enjoyment of Voyage, even if it is not specifically listed below.

All multiplayer interactions, including chat, roleplay, usernames, profile content, and player-created content, must also comply with the Voyage Multiplayer Guidelines.

We may update these guidelines at any time, with or without notice.

Player Conduct

Treat other players with respect—no harassment, threats, bullying, or griefing meant to ruin someone's experience. No hate speech or discrimination based on protected characteristics like race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Respect sexual boundaries: no harassment, unwanted advances, or explicit sexual content in public sessions. Don't dox anyone—sharing private info like real names, addresses, or contact details is prohibited. No threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, or celebration of real-world harm.

Enforcement

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, any combination of the following actions, with or without notice, may occur:

Deleting the offending Comment.
Removing the offending Cover image.
Rerating and locking the rating of the offending World or Mod.
Blocking the publishing of a Scenario or Adventure that violates our guidelines.
Temporary or permanent restriction of an offending user’s ability to publish content.
Temporary communication restrictions
Temporary or permanent multiplayer restrictions

Users may petition for the removal of a publishing restriction or wait until the expiration of a temporary restriction period. Attempting to circumvent a publishing restriction, or causing particularly egregious or frequent violations, may be met with a total platform ban.
